RSGB Contest Results 432MHz FMAC 2018

The second year of 432MHz FM Activity contests enjoyed increased support. As in 2017 the most active month was March, with 47 entries received and 125 different stations appearing in the logs. Hopefully as the word spreads activity will continue to increase. The FMAC is primarily aimed at stations new to VHF contesting and who might not have the necessary equipment to take part in the UKACs, however it is good to see that many of the regulars from the multi-mode events have also taken part and boosted activity in these FM contests.

For 2019, the antenna restrictions in the 10W section have been removed to permit the use of any antenna and the duration has been reduced to 55 minutes to give a five minute break between the end of the FMAC and the start of the UKAC. Also new for next year, the FM Activity contests will now also contain a club championship element in the same way as the UKACs, so that everyone's score can contribute to a local club score, but separately to the UKAC championship.
